Hello, my name is Hanka and I have been working for Fishnet for 7 years. I graduated from French and English linguistics and literature at the University of Ostrava. I like studying languages and have a great interest in language teaching methodology. I hate being bored so I tend to keep myself occupied. I dearly love reading books (almost any kind of literature would do for me) and watching films (if you ever organize a film marathon count me in!). I couldn’t survive without listening to some nice music, especially when drawing. I am fond of traveling and walking and I certainly don´t mind eating (hot tea or coffee and chocolate is the best combination there is). I also spend my time with children and teenagers (as I work with youth occasionally) and going out with friends when there is some time left is always an option for me. So don´t be scared of asking your teacher to hang out with you! Look forward to meeting you in person.

1. -"Life is a foreign language; everyone mispronounces it." And I¥m here to correct your pronunciation any time! I’ve been teaching English at Fishnet for the past three years. I obtained my CELTA certificate from Akcent International House in Prague. I am also currently studying  my master’s program in English language, Czech Language, Literature and Pedagogy at the University of Opava. I spent one semester teaching in Cambridge, England. My favourite thing about teaching English is getting to meet people from all walks of life. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, traveling to the far corners of Europe, and teaching my dog amusing tricks purely for my own entertainment. I consider myself to be a bit of a rockchick - I listen to anything from Muse to AC/DC, and you might occasionally catch me doing/ruining my own take on a perfectly good song. ASHLEY LAMB, B.A. - Senior Teacher

Hello, my name is Ashley Lamb. I graduated from Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies. I have a broad range of interests, so here is a snippet: music (both listening to and singing along with), reading, ice cream, dance, theatre, watching movies and movie trailers, eating (yes, i am quite passionate about food!), coffee, watching just about any sporting event, furry animals-especially dogs/puppies, chocolate, and laughter. SHELLY MC MULLEN, B.A. - Senior Teacher

My name is Shelly McMullen. I am from a small town in Texas. This is my first year teaching at Fishnet. I grew up traveling with my family so I enjoy experiencing new places and new cultures. I have traveled all over the United States and have been to the Czech Republic a few times in the past few years. I also enjoy the arts. I play several instruments including the guitar and the piano. I sing as well. I enjoy listening to any type of music. I also enjoy going to see shows at the theater. I can't wait to go see some musicals, operas, ballets, or concerts here in Europe. I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in education. I really couldn't see my self doing anything other than teaching. I am excited to get to know my students and share my language with you! 

CHELSEY McHENRY, B.A. - Senior Teacher

Hi! My name is Chelsea McHenry. I have just moved to Ostrava and am having a blast exploring the city and Czech culture! I am from a little town north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from university a little over a year ago with a degree in teaching. Teaching has always been my passion! Living abroad in Belfast, Northern Ireland and traveling a lot with my family as a child has made me want to live in many different parts of the world. So I am very excited to be here and combining two of my favorite things! One of my favorite hobbies is playing games with friends. So if you would ever be interested in learning some American board games or would want to teach me some Czech games that you play, I would love to teach you or be very interested in learning! I also am a huge sports fan, especially ice hockey and American football (Go Penguins and Steelers!) I hope to catch a few hockey games while I am here in Ostrava!  I also love to read and watch films. Pretty much any type of film or book and you can count me in!  This is a little bit about me. Hello my name is Erica. I am from the Dallas, Texas area and I am really excited to be teaching at Fishnet and living in Ostrava. In 2008 I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with my B.S. in Child Development. I enjoy working with young children but also enjoy teaching adults as well. In my spare time I love to watch TV, listen to music, go to the cinema and go dancing. My favorite foods are Mexican and Italian and Chocolate. JESSICA LAMSON, B.A. - Senior Teacher

GLEN GARDNER, M.A. - Junior Teacher

Hello! My name is Glen Gardner. I come from Essex, England (near to London) and moved to Ostrava in August. I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in human geography and I am also Trinity CertTESOL qualified. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar, riding my bike, going to the gym, and watching films with friends. I am thoroughly enjoying living in the Czech Republic, especially the food that I have tried (but I am still convinced that there is no better meal than an English breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, and toast). I really enjoy teaching and feel lucky to be able to teach in such a nice country, though I am still trying to learn the Czech language! I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Hi! My name´s Ivana and I´ve been working for Fishnet for some time. I study English language at Silesian University in Opava. Considering myself to be a sociable person, I like meeting new people and travelling as well. Honestly, I´m crazy about South England where I also studied (2010 – BSC Brighton, 2011 – MLS College Bournemouth). Mgr. ŠTĚPÁNKA NEDBALOVÁ - Senior Teacher

vystudovala na Karlově Univerzitě v magisterském programu obor: Studia nových médií. V diplomové práci se zabývala možností jazykové výuky ve virtuální realitě. Mimochodem, znáte Second life? Určitě si zadejte do Googlu. Zajímá jí vše kolem komunikačních technologií ve vzdělávání.

V současné době studuje na postgraduálním studiu Ostravské univerzity obor: ICT ve vzdělávání. Ohledně jazykové výuky: 3 roky praxe ve výuce anglického jazyka, metodický kurz TEFL, jazyková zkouška CAE. Má ráda lezení po horách, ostatně, jak je vidět na obrázku. :-)

Hello, my name is Hani. I grew up with three brothers in a small village in Vysočina. I studied English and history at the Silesian Univerzity in Opava. Sometimes I think I was born as a teacher :) I prefer teaching individual classes :) I love cats, trees, colours and books. I am also interested in art and fashion which really motivate me in my life. I could hardly lived without coffee and green tea :) I enjoy sunny days, hanging out with friends and visiting historical places and galeries. I am very fond of jogging and cycling. ANETA SKOČILASOVÁ

Ahoj! Jmenuji se Aneta, je mi 22 let a třetím rokem studuji obor Angličtina ve sféře podnikání na Ostravské univerzitě.
Ve volném čase se věnuju dobrovolnické činnosti v neziskové organizaci YMCA OP, která je zaměřena na práci s mládeží. S rock-gospelovým sborem TenSing hodně zkoušíme, koncertujeme a cestujeme. V TenSingu jsem se naučila hrát na kytaru a baskytaru, což mě baví dodnes. Kromě hraní a zpívání trávím čas u koní na Bujnoch ranchi v Jistebníku  nebo cestuji. Ze všech zemí, které jsem měla možnost procestovat, se mi nejvíce líbilo v Kanadě, kam bych se za nějaký čas ráda zase vrátila.
Práce s lidmi mě naplňuje a velice baví, chtěla bych využít svých zkušeností a zapojit se do vzdělávání všech, kteří mají zájem.

KVĚTOSLAVA KLAMKOVÁ - vedoucí kanceláře/office manager

Jmenuji se Květa, narodila jsem se na Slovensku, ale již 25 let bydlím v Ostravě. V jazykové škole Fishnet pracuji druhým rokem. Práce mě baví především proto, že je různorodá. Mohu poznávat nové a mladé lidi (což mě obohacuje). Těším se, když máme nějaká společná setkání (Thanksgiving weekend, anglické kempy, English Week apod.), protože se můžu osobně setkávat se studenty, které znám jenom podle jména. Před léty jsem pracovala ve Vítkovicích a.s. jako PC operátorka. Po MD jsem řadu let pracovala ve firmě EAM s.r.o., která obchoduje s Finskem. Měla jsem možnost několikrát navštívit tento stát a byla jsem okouzlena nádhernou přírodou a jednoduchostí stylu bydlení. 2x jsme se rozhodli navštívit Skandinávii autem, projeli jsme celé Švédsko. Malá dřevěná chatka u jezera je pro mě lepší volba, než vyprahlá pláž plná lidí u moře:-) Proto jsem si Skandinávii zamilovala. Mezi mé koníčky patří rodina, malá zahrádka, příroda, cestování, jízda na kole a v zimě lyžování.
